LP (Liz Pratt): Where is your dad living these days?
JJ (James Johnson): He lives in a house. He is going to have get a new house. A bigger house. My mom's going to have the baby. They don't live together. They be arguing a lot. My daddy always gives my mama some money and my mama don't give my daddy nothing.
LP: I heard you have a new stepdaddy. Do you like him?
JJ: He's a good man. He been knowing my mama since they was little kids.
LP: Does Charles have children of his own?
JJ: They is going have one because the new baby is coming.
LP: What does Lorenzo think of school, now that he is in kindergarten?
JJ: He like school. We be helping him in the cafeteria. He be at the day care all the time.
LP: Do you still go to day care?
JJ: We go to a different day care now. Child Care Network. It's near by my house.
LP: Do other children from Montclair go there also?
JJ: Only but four. DJ, Lorenzo, me and Earl.
LP: How long do you stay there?
JJ: We be there till everybody be going. My mom come for us. My daddy be working.
LP: What do you do there?
JJ: Sometimes we play Pac Man. You could do one player or two player. Sometime I play with my brother and Earl. He go to another school. They got a basketball court but all they have to do is get a new thing. We got another basketball court. It be red and blue. [Rest of interview inaudible]
